Using Ion as a midi controller

Hi all,

What's the process for setting up an ion as a midi controller? I realise almost everything on it sends nrpn signals but I have seen a few references online to people using it as a standard midi cc controller. Unfortunately with no instructions on how to do it. Can the hypersynth editor act as a signal converter? Or is something else required, like midi ox?

There is an option in global menu to select between NRPN and CC. if you don't find it please upgrade to the latest firmware.
