Ion controller changes not reflected in editor in VST mode

Hi there,

I have the Ion editor successfully running inside Ableton, and closely followed the instructions for midi routing etc. All appears to be working, except that when I make changes to filter frequency etc, these are not reflected in the VST editor (ie: the values don't change). However when I move any of the 3 mod wheels, these make the software mod wheels move inside the VST editor. What am I doing wrong?

it should not be reflected as NRPN back sync is not supported in v2.2. hardware cannot update the editor except for wheels.
