Miniak Editor AU is a 32bit Audio unit, unfortunately Logic and Ableton drop 32 bit support in latest version, You should find a host that supports 32 bit plugin or use older version of these hosts.

issue 1: It could be related to your power supply or power supply Jack. The jack must be fixed and tight in the socket. Try to save on different locations, and check out the result. Do you have the latest OS installed ?

Run Coolterm > Connection > Send Text File ...

If you have purchased the synth recently, it must have the latest OS v2.1 pre-installed. and no need for updating.

1-Update only works on USB2 port (USB3 or USB3+HUB might not work properlly)
2-Try another USB cable
3-Try annother USB slot of your computer
